What breed is he?

The he's somewhat in shadow but if his legs are yellow and his feathers are chestnut, he's a New Hampshire. If his feathers are mahogany, he's a Rhode Island Red. I agree that he's a gorgeous bird. )

He's probably a Production Red. He isn't dark enough to be a Rhode Island Red, and doesn't look quite like a New Hampshire either.
