What breed is my roo?

Hi there! I'm back yet again on this thread, but this time it's about my roo.
A couple months ago a lone and mangy looking rooster wandered into my family's driveway with a rope around his foot. We asked around the neighborhood, but no one knew where he came from. We have no clue what breed he is, but after he gained a bit of weight and his feathers started growing in, we noticed he had them on his legs/feet too. His beak/comb is a darkish black and some of his feathers are red or black with tints of green. Any help is appreciated! (Tried to get as many different angles as I could)

I agree with sourland. I also think he may have a bit of Silkie blood, too. That would account for the dark comb/face and the trace of a beard he has. Looks like he needs a bit of TLC, poor thing.

Very possible! I'm not sure what kind of conditions he was in to make him look like that, but I think with some time and a good diet he'll start looking a bunch better.

Two very grainy "before" pictures of how he looked when we found him. (Why my camera is so bad is beyond me.) Lots of improvement since!

Wow, that is a big improvement! I think he must have been treated very poorly in the past, but you're doing a good job rehabilitating him.

Thank you! It's very likely, not everyone treats animals very well where I live. He's a lucky roo though, he finally has a forever home. <3
