I was just wondering what breed this hen is. she is around five months old and is not laying yet. I bought her from a local feed store, and she was only labeled color layer. I am curious about her breed.

I’d say it’s a tan brahma. I have two light brahmas who are white and yours looks like them exactly, just tan.

She's a mix, not a purebred. She is just a mix that will lay colored eggs. Nothing more, nothing less.

Feather patterns alone have nothing to do with the breed. This hen just happens to have a similar pattern to a light brahma. It's just a combination of color genes that make this particular pattern. She has no other characteristics of a brahma (pea comb, feathered legs, body type, egg color, etc.) therefore there is no way she could be one.
