They are close to 6 weeks old. I have a few pictures when they were 1-2 weeks old, if it will help, I can post them.
I thought they were brown leghorns when I got them, but I didn’t realize the Welsummer looked so similar until recently. I know you can tell by the ear, but it’s difficult for me to differentiate at this age….thanks for the help!

How many birds are shown in the pics?

A couple of white-beige legs, which is reminiscent of Speckled Sussex, however, SS have red earlobes...so I'll stick with Brown Leghorn with the white earlobes. Often leg color is off a bit especially if they are feed store birds.

And my two cents...who knows? 🤣 Could be so many different ones..could be. Maybe will be easier when they're grown. You will get guesses for now. Pretty cute though!!

Time will tell. Welsummer, SS, and Brown Leghorn chicks are notoriously similar at young ages.

If Welsummer, they will develop the classic red-brown partridge, red earlobe and yellow leg.

Speckled Sussex will begin to develop the white splotches, red earlobe, and beige legs.

Brown Leghorn will develop classic partridge (a bit darker and duller brown than the red brown of Welsummer), white earlobe panel, yellow legs.

You *might* have a couple of SS in there due to the beige legs. Sometimes earlobes remain pale until adulthood when hormones kick in.

I have (5) chicks. The chicks all came from the from same brooder (at a feed store- I assumed that they all came as the same breed; as they were all same age, looked identical to each other, and came in same batch to the store (store owner had only wrote “pullets” and the price wrote on brooder). The 5 chicks I purchased looked identical to each other their first 3-4 weeks, however, in the last two weeks, some minor changes in each ones appearance has allow me to differentiate one from another. Each picture is NOT of a different bird. Some birds were photographed multiple times from different camera angles. If you look at their legs, they have colored bands to identify them by (no 2 birds have the same color band). Also note; I have some ISA Browns and other breeds in that same coop/run (tried to get photos where they were not in the background, only the 5 in question.). I will attach more pictures shortly. Thank you for your help thus far!
