Just had these silkies hatch today. Curious if anyone knew how to tell color at such a young age. They came out of buff, blue, black, and white silkies all mixed in one pen... I think i have 3 splash, 2 white and 2 buff. here are pictures of a few.
I thought this guy was blue at first, but then I looked up pictures of blue chicks and they were much darker. So, maybe splash?
Here's a group picture of some. The one in the back is for sure white. I think the one on the far left and the one on the far right are buff because they have an orange tint to them. and the two in the middle are that light gray color.
We have six more that are peeping. Any ideas?
