What colour are my Silkies?

My partridge silkie started out that color & darkened up as it grew. Very cute!!

#1 is a buff with alot of black leakage.
#2 is a partridge

to be partridge there has to be penciling in the wings and/or hackles,#2 has noticeable penciling in the wings while #1 does not, it also has a very uniform body color of a buff shade - no real browns like #2... so its a buff.

both are cute (but I'm a diehard partridge lover

I looked at my little ones again. You can't tell in the pic, but the one with the black head has penciling on her? wings too. So does my other one that is almost completely buff. So I guess I have three Partridges. AWESOME. WOO HOO.

Both have Partridge pattern, but the wrong base color. I raise non-standard color birds; these look just like some of the ones I hatch every year. Beautiful girls.

Thank you. I think they are pretty too. They are fun pets. They run from me, but as soon as I catch one, they find a good spot to roost on my arm and snuggle in, lol.
