What do duck eggs look like in comparison to chicken eggs?

well i just wanted to no cause in a few more day ill have some little ducklings running around and and everyones telling me that it grows the same as a chicken but do i suppose to belive or not

One thing you should probably already know is that they dont lay the same as a chicken. Ducks lay a clutch in the spring and thats it. They are very protective and i personally dont see the need in eating them.
This isn't true of domestic ducks - my runners will lay 200+ eggs a year each. I think Khakis and Cayugas may lay more. Runners also generally couldn't care less about their eggs, and make pretty poor mothers.

The shell consistency is different with duck eggs - I don't know how to describe it, but it's really difficult to confuse the two if you're holding one of each.
