What do ducks like about a coop?

Is that because of over mating? My drakes are very nice, usually only mate after taking baths, and they get along fine with my females. I am also going to have a very big coop.
Drakes have penises; roosters do not. hen anatomy does not accommodate a penis and a hen can die from injuries caused by an enthusiastic drake . All drakes are "enthusiastic" when it comes to mating

The floor if my coop is 3/4 expanded steel mesh, i put stall mats down on the floor except for the corner where the waterer is. I am extremely happy with that, i use pine shavings on top, i clean out when weather allows in winter, about weekly in summer and top up regularly in between to keep everything clean and dry. I have found fine pine shavings to be key, they absorb better than coarse and being pine is important for odor control.

I am thinking about getting a couple peacocks, just wondering does anyone have problems with them making too much sound, or does it annoy your neighbors really bad?
The annoyance level of the neighbors would be very dependent on what kind of neighbors you have.
My neighbor across the street lives back aways into the trees, but he was absolutely delighted when our guinea gang made their way over there. He also enjoyed hearing them talk from over on our property. I now have a fence along our driveway so the guineas don't go over to his house anymore because I want to be courteous, but he took it a lot better than I expected.

I recently had someone try to give me two peacocks. They are very loud and can fly. They say you should have at least an acre if you have them which I do not. My one friends crossed over the road and used to eat the neighbor horses' food. One day it kicked its head off when it decided it was sharing no more. It was a beautiful one. I felt bad for it but it should of stayed home. Owners fault though, not the peacock.

we use hemp bedding for our ducks and it’s better than any other bedding we’ve tried

it also needs a floor or a predator will dig in and kill them
How deep do you make the hemp bedding? And do you scoop it daily or turn it? How often. Do you totally clean out? Thanks!
