What does the little chick next to a post mean?

Hello! My humble apologies if this question has been answered numerous times before. When I log in there are lots of posts in bold lettering with a little yellow chick next to them. Can someone tell me what that means? I was thinking maybe it's a new post possibly? Not sure.

It means you have not looked at it yet. You may have looked at the original post, but it means something new is there that you have not looked at.
