Hey all,
I just noticed that the wing feathers on one of my ducks are - ratty thin and not clinging? Is this what wetfeather looks like when it's dry? Or would mites cause this? Nutritional?

To me, it looks like she’s just due for a molt. Do you remember when was her last molt? Several of my ducks are molting right now and also my chickens some of my khaki Campbell’s feathers get pretty ratty when they are due for a molt.
oh phew! I've never noticed them getting like this before a molt before, but they do usually do a fall molt, so maybe it's just that. She's had health/injury issues in the past, so I think I am just more fretful about her and immediately jumped to it has to be a problem. Thank you!

I agree she is due for a molt but also I have had mine get feathers like this from mating.
