At the local auction and I just bought 7 dozen fertile guinea eggs.

I think you just subscribed to "chicken math".

I have 14 of the little brats running around at my house! I only wanted 3-4 of them -- but the eggs were free, courtesy of a friend - hers just started laying so she wasn't sure if they were all fertile or not-- and "everybody" (re: BYC enablers)!! said "Oh, get twice as many because you'll lose some & you'll be lucky if 50% hatch, etc etc" ---

14 out of 15 hatched.
