what is the earliest age you got an egg?

So the package of layer feed told me to start feeding layer feed to pullets when they're 18 weeks old. Was it lying to me?

18 weeks should be fine. Most birds lay by 20 weeks or so. People usually recommend waiting until after the first egg is laid (just to be careful), but I doubt you have to be perfect.

One of my three EEs laid her first egg last night (my first egg ever). They are all 17 weeks old, so I assume the other two won't be far behind her.
