What is this growth on my chickens beak

Hello all! I have searched and searched and can’t seem to find anything on this. We have an adorable and sweet 4 month old Speckled Sussex and about a week ago we noticed this growth. At first I thought it was a giant tick! Then thought wart but now scared it might be a tumor of some kind. She seems very healthy and hasn’t changed eating or drinking patterns that we can tell. We live in a small town and the vet doesn’t really like to see chickens. What are your thoughts on what it is and what to do about it. Please share whatever you can. Thank you

It could be a wound from sticking her beak in somewhere and rubbing that spot, or it could be something like fowl pox. A wound will heal, pox will get worse before it gets better.
