What is this on her feet?

So after a trip to the vet today with another duck he said that this is just a callous or dead skin.
He said not to worry about soaking her with epsom anymore or applying neosporin.
As he watched her waddle in his duck friendly room he said that she is walking just fine.

He asked his assistant" did you hear that'? she said "no what" he looked at her and quietly said "Aflac"

I had a wonderful experience at this office and I'm pleased with how he handled my ducks.
I would recommend him to anyone in the area.

I'm dealing with something similar. This picture shows the worst of it. You can see a worm like protrusion or skin tag. What the heck is it?! It's on three of my eight ducks (variety of breeds). We have no wire. Their yard is mud, grass, and River Rock...

Have you tried to soak feet ?
If so does the white part become softer?
Have you tried to gently pull on it ...like maybe it is something that has become "part of the foot"?
My heavy boy has the callous feet right now but I have never seen the white tag before.
