What is this spot?

I have 8 hens I acquired right around the time they turned 4 months old so I was told. I’ve had them for just a few days shy of 4 weeks. I got my first egg today, a little thing, greenish-blueish. It was broken ( i need to throw some fake eggs or golf balls in the nesting box since it was on the coop floor) super super soft shell I read this is normal being a first time layer or young layer. But my question is what is this spot?!? A tiny piece was on the yolk and the other bigger spot was in the whites. Almost reminded me of mold spots.

Thanks, looked gross. Never seen that in an egg before.
Eggs from grocery stores are screened for inclusions. It's not unusual to find meat spots, blood spots, or to have other quality issues in homegrown eggs, because of that it's best to crack eggs one at a time into cups before adding them to recipes. As a general rule they're completely safe to eat, just not appetizing to look at. You can pick out inclusions if they bother you.

I always pick them out (or feed the entire egg back to the chickens if there is one that I find especially gross). It doesn't look nice, but they are totally normal.
