What kind of sand??

Hi! Me and my boyfriend have 6--4 week old chicks, we are almost done with the coop and after some reading we are thinking we are going to try sand in the coop and see how we like it! What kind of sand should we use? And we will probably just buy a few bags at first instead of a truckload. Thanks!

A washed sand not play sand, lowes or home Depot sells bags of construction sand probably better to start with a few bags before the truck load. Play sand has silica and small particulars of glass.
