what pan or bowl to use for chicks with fermented feed?

I am making my first batch of fermented feed and wondered how to feed it to the chicks without making a HUGE mess. Once we have the food in the coop area we are going to use gutters. Should I just use bowls for now that take up less space?

I use the reel top plastic chick feeder.

They're easy to clean, don't take up much space, the chicks can't perch on it, the reel snaps out for easy filling and if you have a lot of chicks, they lock together in a line so you can keep adding more. I used them for FF for the first 8 weeks last time.

during the warmer months when the hose was turned on, I used a couple of plastic bowls that I'd rinse out with the hose. I stopped fermenting when I could no longer do that and he to start back up soon.
