Hi all,

I have currently got 10 campine chicks (mix of gold and silver) 1 lavender orp and 1 cochin that are 18 days old.

It would be great if people could tell me what they think they are.

Thanks!

I'd say chicks 1, 6, 7, 8 and 10 are all cockerels based on the size of there combs. can you post pics closer to their combs?

I'm saying 6, 8 and 10 are cockerels. The others I'm not sure, but believe me with Campines you will know for sure at 4 weeks. They crow early and often. At least the 2 I have did.

I was thinking 1,6,10 and 11.... Also didn't have a clue how to sex a cochin number 12.

Thanks for replies! It is so hard to tell so good to get other perspectives

I agree with 1, 6, 10, and 11. Also, 8 looks a bit like a roo, but it may be a hen who is growing faster than the rest. Cochin chick 12 definitely looks like a hen to me! But then again I could be wrong. I've had chicks I swore were hens start crowing...

But anyways, best of luck to you!
