What should I do?

So this morning my broody hen started pecking at one of her eggs and I think she was trying to help it out but... it didnt make it.

Now its day 23.. What should i DO?

ok as long as she was trying to do good. At first i thought she was just tired of sitting so she was going to try and quit.. What should i do with the poor chick?

take it away and dispose of it. =/ it'll start to rot, otherwise. sorry it didn't make it

this hatching chicks thing is much more stressful than i thought it was going to be. She has 4 eggs left and its day 23 how long should i let her stay on them before taking them away?

ETA: In my experience with broodies is that they usually hatch early like day 20. In my opinion day 23 is too long for a broodies eggs. She will soon abandon them.

i'd give it a couple more days if she's still sitting, unless you're sure you know when she started... you could always try candling the eggs to see if that might help determine whether or not they are viable. if not, you should take them away, and you'll probably either want to encourage her to stop being broody, or get her a couple of chicks to take care of
