My rooster just gets mad at the umbrella. He pecked a hole in one of mine and he will puff up at it. The hens run squawking. My son and I have chickens that are afraid of my big oversized yellow umbrella. While at first I couldn't quite understand why, I think they see it as some sort of oversized chicken or bird or something because if I open and close it quickly, it makes a sound like wings of a bird and they don't like it. The smaller chickens don't care about the umbrella.
Thats funny! My chickens caught, killed, and ate a toad twice. Yuck.Toads
