What tastes chickens hate

I want to know what tastes chickens hate. Because I want to fill an egg with stuff to stop egg eating.

Could you first try to reduce urge to eating eggs by increasing protein level in the diet?

In addition to upping the protein in their diet, I'd also make sure they have free choice of oyster shells. Another thing you can do is put ceramic eggs in the nest.

Or a roll away nest, where upon being laid, the egg rolls away out of reach of hens.

I want to know what tastes chickens hate. Because I want to fill an egg with stuff to stop egg eating.

Some dislike mustard, others love it. Cinnamon, onion and citrus are universally detested but they have strong cents as well. This can be a problem if you still want to them to go into the nestbox depending on how well you seal up the egg so scent doesn’t escape.

I’m thinking of making a plaster/calcium egg mixed with dried and ground orange peels and grapefruit peels so that if a chicken or snake eats the egg it won’t cause death (golf balls and ceramic eggs can kill), but it will taste disgusting and maybe cause a tiny bit of tummy upset (not enough to make them dehydrated or violently ill) so they don’t want to do it again!
