Dill is 2 weeks old and I just noticed this yellow spot near his tail. He’s eating, drinking, and pooping just fine, and is pretty active and talkative. I’m new to younger ducklings and am lost as to what this could be. Anyone know what this is or could be?

I had something similar on one of my chicks this past spring. I had no clue and asked a local chicken farmer. They weren’t entirely sure either but suggested it could be a feather feather quill coming in? I know, not very helpful but my chick did grow out of it anyway and it wasn’t anything to worry about.

Thank you! I was thinking the same thing. It seems irritating to him when I tried to take a closer look.
