What's wrong with my duck's egg?

This morning I went out to check my duck's egg and it was pure white. When I went out a couple hours after, it had bluish black spots on it. I don't know if it died or the membrane broke. I forgot to mark down what day it was laid so i want to say the egg is around day 24. I don't have any pictures. I candled the egg and one part is totally dark and another part is clear with some veins. Please help.

Did you see any movement upon candling?

Not from what I could see. It was pretty dark.

I've noticed some duck eggs turned a darker color or developed dark splotches just before hatching. I always speculated that it was from them trying to internally pip, but they hit a large blood vessel and the dark discoloration is from a bleed. But mine usually hatched out just fine afterwards. Keep an eye out. If it's still alive and well, it may hatch a little early. Good luck!
