I have 10 eggs in the hovabator. One just hatched! This is my first time and I keep reading conflicting info on when to take that chick out and put in a brooder with water and food.
Some things say within 24 hrs, some say they left theirs in there for 48-72 hours. I'm really confused!

You can do either, since they have their yolk still for nutrition, however if you don't want them jostling the other eggs around then I'd move them when their feathers get at least somewhat fluffy.

Personally, I'd wait until 2 chicks have hatched and "fluffed up" before putting them in the brooder. A lone chick may get a bit distraught on its own. You will have read conflicting advice because, like many things chickens, there's no right or wrong. My advice would be to go with what you feel is best in such circumstances.
