when do roos crow for the first time ?

It depends on the rooster and the breed, I've had some start trying to crow at less then 6 weeks, and some who don't try until they are fully mature.

It also depends on the living situation. If your chicks are out with the flock, the dominant roo may prevent them from acting on the urge to crow.... I have several boys out in the coop, from 8 weeks to 15 weeks and none of them have crowed yet!

They are coronation sussex-- some physically look like roos- larger comb and all- i have 13 total- my first chicks ever... from the way they look i think i have 6 roos... but am just not sure... Blessings...
