Hello everyone I have 7 hens that are now 27 weeks old, I was wondering if they would start laying eggs anytime soon? I live in Canada and it gets cold here, but the coop is isolated and it has a heat lamp with led lights turned on 14 hours a day. I have two polish hens, one orpington, one black cooper maran, one Ameraucana and one plymouth!

I will upload a few pictures of them if it can help! Thank you!

They all look ready to lay, I have girls of the same age and they are diffidently ready to lay but they aren't going to tell spring most likely. ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL BIRDS!!

You must be impatiently waiting like me then! I will be crossing my fingers hoping I won't have to wait that long to see them lay their first eggs, but if I do, it will only be more exciting when it happens! Thank you so much!

I will look outside tomorrow since my older hens frequently lay in the hay balls I keep arround!
Might want to confine them to the coop.
My 31wo pullets haven't laid yet, despite 14+ hours of supplemental lighting...
...tho one was in the nest this morning :fl and a couple few hens are laying again.
