They are now saying the current bird flu outbreak should be under-control in about 4 months. Expect the flu epidemic to grow, mostly in Mexico. There is a news story about this today on Fox News' website:

Should just have waterfowl and accept land birds will either not be an option or potentially die. It happens. It sucks. And then you hope the second round is stronger.

Regardless of the bird flu causing such a problem, ducks just carry all sorts of things that can cause problems. All birds that survive are stronger, and will pass on their immunity to their offspring

that's true of chickens too. It doesn't matter, the OP just wants to enjoy her ducks. Which she can do. No point in denying yourself pleasure, it's just a gamble, and she understands that.

They just banned poultry shows, sales, auctions, ect in Ohio today Starting to get worried they will take "preventative" measures.
