It was a bit weird for me too, and that says something. I want a tiny bantam like naked bird, not a giant full size one

I have been told that there was someone in New Zealand planning to create from they're Orpington-mixes. The silkie gene appartently popped up from their mixed side.
Where is this thread? Does anybody breed them today?Hey, they weren't mine. There's a thread on here about them, I think it was around the time I first joined
I still hate Tolbunt and Candy Corn Polish. lol And Calico Cochins. Hahaha

I have no idea. I'm sure you could use the search feature and found out the OP hasn't been active in years.Where is this thread? Does anybody breed them today?
I do not. I see Silkied Ameraucana mentioned on here occasionally. I believe they have a lot of health and fertility issues if I remember correctly.@ColtHandorf and @JacinLarkwell do you know where I could find some silkied Ameraucanas, Turkens, and Cochins?
Disgusting. lol There is no set pattern or color. I have a friend with some and every time he sends me a picture I just scream. None of the birds look like the one next to them. *gags*All the other ones you mentioned I was like okay, I get it, but Tolbunt polish ooof, my cryptonite
Probably not. They need very special care because they don't have any protection from the heat, cold, sun or rain and snowWhere is this thread? Does anybody breed them today?
Sources have been given for the cochins. You'll just have to look around for the other two. Naked necks seem to still have silkie feathering in a fair number of back yard flocks I've seen@ColtHandorf and @JacinLarkwell do you know where I could find some silkied Ameraucanas, Turkens, and Cochins?
Really? Are they mixbreeds? If they are would it be possible to breed them back to Naked necks? When did Naked necks gain the silkie feathering?Sources have been given for the cochins. By keeping silkiexnaked neck crosses and breeding them. They're just naked necks with silkie feathering. Really nit that hard to do in a mixed flock in a few genrrationsReally? Are they mixbreeds?
