Where did you get your name from ~

My first name was from Vanessa Redgrave and my middle name is my grandmother's first name Jewel. Now my sister on the other hand who is 17 years older than me was named after Karen on the Mickey Mouse Club.

My dad wanted to name me Francis whether I was a boy or a girl. Thank the Lord for Vanessa Redgrave!!!!

Edited to add: I named my son David because nothing rhymes with it. So no silly little school yard teasing with his name.

My first name my mom named me after my aunt when my aunt had a miscarriage, then my Middle came from my grandma's first name, its funny how it adds up!! "Diane Elizabeth" im sure ive got nearly one of the most royal names

My mother wanted to name me Dana. Grandma convinced her otherwise so I am Kim, not Kimberly, just Kim....any guesses on how many times I have said that?

I have a sis who is an Amy, not Amelia and a Kate who is a Katrina. lol

My first name ( Jeff ) is very generic and "not me" and I don't like it.
My middle name is the same as my Dad's.
I have always thought it would be a cool idea to give a kid a first name but leave the middle name "blank" and let them pick it out later. Might go awry, though....
