Which breed should I hatch?

Hey folks, after hatching my first batch of eggs I am certain that I will be doing it again soon. I was curious as to whether anyone had any particular suggestions as to which breed to hatch?

The new birds will be joining a flock comprised of Isas, bluebells, white sussex, leghorns, polish and australop mix. It must be noted that they will be living in sunny Scotland if that helps anyone decide.

Ideally I am looking for a fairly good layer that is a bit different from the typical hens found in most backyards.

I would recommend hatching Orpingtons which would make a great addition to your flock. They are beautiful, cold hardy, friendly and gentle (my children and granddaughter made lap pets of them), and good layers of large, brown eggs. But whatever breed you decide to go with, good luck with your hatch.
