Which chicken layed the bad egg?

I have 4 hens. 1 is laying weak shelled eggs. I have tried everything I know to help the egg quality, and the other hens all lay good eggs. but there is the 1...and I don't know which one it is. Can anyone tell me how to define which hen is laying the weak eggs? My birds are all cage free, free range and only come in to the coop for sleep.

If you were able to set up a motion camera you can watch and see which chicken lays which eggs. Not sure if that would be an option for you and your coop. Good luck

You could always put 1 in a dog or cat cage for the few hours around the time they lay, and do that with a different hen each day till you find out

Ive tried that, and keeping them in the coop individually, etc, and when I do that they don't lay so I still can't tell which girl it is.

Something else I've heard people recommend is covering the vents with different color food dyes on each hen. Maybe you could give that a go

what kind of food dye would I use? the only kind I know of is the little bottles of liquid you buy for making cakes and cookies...lol.
