Yes they have chicks certain times of the year, closer to Easter more than any other time.
Mine uses Mt Healthy and Ideal. you can be sure most of them are males or pullets of "common breeds". Very rarely you would get something of rare breeds.
We were at the TSC in Washington, NC last spring and they had boxes of chicks come in from Centurion Poultry, I had never heard of them before but it was all over the boxes.
