Which one to keep?

Tonight one of the roos goes to a new home. Which one should I keep?

Punt
bigger
lighter color
wins the fights
not as friendly but hasn't attcked since he got punted
good protector of the girls


Bruce
smaller but not much
not as pretty tailfeathers
meaner to the hens he can get hold of if Punt is outside
if you catch him he is easier to pet
one of the hens that is going to the new home absolutely adores him


The boys got in fight yesterday and are both bloody and gross looking. I feel like bad mommy ..... shipping off one of my boys and three of his girls. But I do have too many. And they are getting a good home.

Keep the one that is good to the girls. That's why most people have roosters, as a flock protector.

I kept the one that was a little rough with the girls, but more docile around humans. Once he wasn't competing with the alpha anymore he started taking his time with the girls and is very gentle and protective of them.
