Hi thanks for the welcome, its a great site, I started reading this prior to buying my girls, so I had an idea what to do. How many chickens have you? And what ages?

I am waiting for a really long time for my 2 chickens to lay their first egg this year in 2015! The Buff and RIR is both are 5 months old and going to be 6 months this month and can't wait for the first ever egg to come out!

I love to just sit and watch them, their awesome!

That black around the top is remnants of an old satalite dish for venting it was what I had, I think all we paid for was the wire.

I am anxiously waiting for my first eggs also. My oldest birds are 5 almost 6 months. Orps are pretty but slow to lay. As anxious as I am for eggs for bsking I am hoping hubby buys me an incubator or I get a broody so I can start hatching babies!!!
