Who else is waiting for that first egg?

I have two girls that have started to flatten out this week, but no eggs yet. I would think it would be really soon.

Oh my gosh so many first eggs since I've been here!!!!! 7 days now of consistent laying from Rose! I'm a hoarder I don't want to crack any of them!!!

hoarder...hee hee, beautiful!!! We blew out first of everyones out...in a basket in the kitchen...reminder now of how precious and seemingly magical they were!

Today was the day!! Went to let them out this morning and there was my first little egg laying in the dirt! Unfortunately it was in the run and not in the laying box, but regardless I am super excited!!!! I think it may be from my buff orp because of the tan color...

Imagine my surprise when I got home from work and found this out in the run under the shelter. We got our first tiny egg yesterday from one of our easter eggers. She is 18 weeks today.

That's too cool. I had my first home grown eggs from a neighbor a couple months ago and OMG were they so much better then store bought. I've had my little babies for a couple months now and I can't wait!
