Hi - I have an interesting looking one week old mystery chick that came from Meyer Hatchery. It is one of the two "assorted rare" from Meyer Hatchery. Per their website:

Possible breeds include: Ancona, Andalusian, Wyandotte, Delaware, Dominique, Jersey Giant, Brahma, Partridge Rock, Light Brown Leghorn, Hamburg, Sussex, German Spitzhauben Appenzeller, Buckeye, Sumatra, Cochin, Polish, Marans, Faverolles, Welsummer, Exchequer Leghorn, Sultan, Ameraucana, Blue and Lavender Orpington, Heritage Barred Plymouth Rock, Mottled Houdan, Easter Eggers, Lakeshore Eggers, Green Queens, and others as they are added to our rare breed offerings. Different colors of the same breed will be counted as separate varieties.

She's got feathered feet and quite the spunky personality. A name contender was Olivia for the Olivia Newton John style leg warmers, but based on the spunk being demonstrated my husband suggested (Margaret) Houlihan.

It might be too early to tell, but any guesses as to what breed she might be?

Thanks. This has been fun so far. It's kinda funny that I specifically eliminated any feathered footed friends when I was selecting the order. Not for any good reason other than the possible "ick" factor in my mind when thinking about fuzzy feet and poop. But I've got to say she has won my heart.

I have both Marans and silkies, both feather footed breeds, and their feet and legs stay surprisingly clean!😊
