who's the alpha male in my gaggle?

I have 4 female chinese geese and 4 male chinese geese and I was wondering how I could tell alpha goose from the others?

Watch their behavior. One gander will stand out from the gaggle. He will usually be in front of them when they walk. He'll be the most dominant. He may also meet out discipline to the others. My Peter is the alpha in ours. His son, Cotton, is the beta, and then all the others are behind them.

They will possibly fight in front of you, or yes the leader will lead.

could be she was! I had a pilgrim goose who was the leader of the pack even though she was the smallest. Her african gander was under her complete control!
