Why is my Button Quail goin bald?!

Thanks yall! Well first thing this mornin I went and got some gamebird feed and grit, and some sand (he always plays in his food dish, I figured I'd try that) and boiled an egg for him. He seemed to like that!

LOL I've been tryin!

I bet he is going to be a much more active critter with the higher protein.

See a difference in his energy levels yet?

A little bit! He's actin a little happier! And I still wanna find him a buddy. Which leads me to another question... I had another male with him, and they got along just fine, but they had also been together since the beginin. Do they normally get along like that, or will they fight if I got another male and threw it in with him now?

And does anyone know where I can get some more buttons? I like 'em a lot!

I wish I was closer... I'd give you one of mine... there has to be someone close to you that raises them. Have you tried a Craigslist ad?

Another thing... If I decide to raise 'em (I'm thinkin about it, but I wanna learn a little more first, I dont wanna hurt 'em more!) do I have to incubate the eggs or will the 'hen' do that herself?
