wierd, strange, unusal and just down right wrong names for Kids.

One of my 2nd grade teacher's was Mrs. Lear. I can't remember if it was her inlaws or her, that named their daughter Shanda.

Chandelier? C'mon now... That's just ridiculous.

Although everyone I know gives me grief about naming my sons after Irish saints. Saint Kieran (keer-inn) and Saint Declan (deck-lynn). I've heard them BOTH before and they're commonly used in Ireland. We're proud of our heritage, I don't see why people think it's okay to criticize what I name my children. Every single time we have a doctor visit, the nurses pronounce them wrong and then roll their eyes at me and make a comment about their names. "De Clan? Wow."... Had I spelled it the original 'Deaglan', they'd REALLY have a h*ll of a time of it, huh?

My grandmother knew a lady who was a nurse at a hospital's maternity ward.... she knew of one girl that named her daughter Placenta because she thought it sounded pretty and another who named her child Chlamydia because she had it while pregnant

I saw this. She could've just been called Talula. I didn't understand the whole "she wanted to be called K" thing.

I was working in a hospital and occasionally had to take an x-ray on a newborn. I always complimented the mother on the new baby, and asked the name she chose.

One time I asked and the very proud and beaming mother replied "Chlorine".

She named her kid after bleach.
