Windshield Wiper Fluid in My Coop!!??!!

I went out the check on the girls this afternoon and the snow outside of their pop door was BLUE!!! It was exactly the same color as the stuff I put in the car for the windshield. I was about to really freak out then I remembered. When I went to the store between snow storms they were out of green cabbage so I picked up 6 heads of purple cabbage. They were given their first taste of it yesterday and today they are pooping BLUE!!! After the sigh of relief I had to laugh.

We had the same experience with beets once, I thought somebody was dying.

rdranch - Thanks for the heads up. I am sure beets will work their way into the chicken diet at some time. That must have been a real fright.

I couldn't get mine to eat enough cabbage for that. They were unimpressed with the stuff.
