Every time I hang put with my chicks, I walk away a little more intrigued...
I noticed a few that "wipe their nose" on the ground? Kind of a side to side motion.
Normal or abnormal?
Thanks!

They are just clearing their nostrils... they don't have arms so it looks funny

simple chick, the chickens like to wipe off their beek. Sometimes different types of feed sticks to the side of their beek which they can feel and like to wipe it off.

When we feed treats of cheese, they have some on the side of their beeks that they wipe off and then eat the goodies left behind.

It also helps keep their beaks trimmed.

But SpottedCrow is right - if you're a chicken keeper, eventually you'll also be their personal napkin!
