wood chips for litter

I recently had pine wood shavings made available to me. Are they okay for litter?

That's what most people use. Not the chunky stuff like hog fuel but the fluffier chips that come from a tree chipper, sawmill or planner.

It will help keep things drier, insulates the ground and makes everything smell good.
