Wood privacy fence instead of gauge wire around coop?

I originally built my run to keep a 200 pound dog out.

I used multiple layers of protection.

My framework allows only 18" of viewing before the next board.

The run is completely wrapped including the top, and 2' bottom buried projection, with 2x3 inch fencing.
I wired all the fencing sections into each other, making it as if one solid piece.
The bottom 2' of the run is wrapped with 1/2 inch hardware cloth.

Hurricane Sandy felled a huge tree into the run.
The run
collapsed, side and roof boards snapped like toothpicks.

The birds were still secure and protected by the fencing until the repairs were made 2 months later.

No lives were lost.

Wow, Ty for all of the tips. I'm def going to research training techniques and see what they respond the best to.
I got the coop today. I'm painting it, putting the shingles on and then going to have the run built all around it. I'm then putting a roof over the run. Fingers crossed this all works out. I'll let you guys know.

If all else fails, you could probably find a Chinese restaurant the would take your dogs off your hands lol. Just kidding, maybe the dogs will be protective of them, but doubtful.

Lol. It's tempting at times.
Yeah, I'd be shocked if they were protective. They would only protect them to have them for themselves.
