My 3 month old pullet was sitting more than usual. My flock free ranges all day. I noticed her limping and her foot was turned under. This happened rather suddenly, I suspected a foot or leg injury. I checked for bumblefoot. I saw some minor swelling by a tiny cut but that is all. I separated her immediately, she is eating, drinking and pooping okay. I immediately added crushed vitamin B6 and B12 to her food and electrolytes to her water. Her foot is curling under and she is unable to stand. Can I make a splint or something to keep her foot flat so she can heal?

Splints work a little--I used duct tape and a lego for mine (one of the large, flat legos, shaped like a quarter-circle. The bumps held her toes in place, unlike the cardboard I tried first.

You can also make a sling to hold her upright. And I'm a big believer in physical therapy for wounded cluckers.
