Just put these together to make a larger pen:
We plan to make a slanted roof over it as well - for rainy days (we are in NC so when it rains, it RAINS)
This is just for some legroom for them when they get a bit bigger in the pop up brooder I have -- they will be jumping out of it SOON lol and I do NOT fancy running around my garage chasing a chick down.
We put on some anchors for using landscape pegs/tent pegs to keep it down and secure and we are getting some temporary electric fencing to put around it (we don't have a LGD yet, she's on order!) for protection from predators. 24 acres in rural NC, we have the lot of them!
We busted out the wire on the inside of 1 section so they could go between freely. All metal bits have been removed for the chicks safety. Nothing poking out! Will put the brooder plate out there, its an inside/outside one.
We are going to cable-tie the doors on the sides shut, as we won't use them right now and you never know how wily predators perhaps can get through electric fence lol You can never be too safe!
