The Polish is a weird, yet beautiful bird. from their beautiful patterns to amazing hairstyles, the polish is an amazing bird, but is it the right breed for you? Today, I am going to review the Polish and see if its the right breed for you!

Polish Chickens are not especially cold hardy, so if you live in a cold climate, these birds may not be for you.

Polish chicken breed and color varieties:

Non-Bearded White Crested Black
Non-Bearded Golden
Non-Bearded Silver
Non-Bearded White
Bearded Golden
Bearded Silver
Bearded White
Bearded Buff Laced
Non-Bearded Buff Laced
Non-Bearded White Crested Blue

At most major hatcheries, you’ll find most of these types. The most popular Polish chicken varieties are:

Silver laced
Buff laced
White crested black
Golden laced

If you run an egg business, this is not the right chicken for you, they only lay 100 eggs per year, and they lay only 2-3 eggs a week. But, if you don't sell eggs, and you eat eggs every once in a while, this is the right breed for you.

If you have kids, (10 and under) this is the right chicken for you. they are super friendly, and will love your kid.

But if you have these chickens, I recommend having a flock of only these chickens, as some chickens will pick out their head feathers, but if you have nice chickens, you can keep them together.

Overall, I would give the polish 4 and half stars. Really good breed and super friendly birds!
