I noticed that recently their claws have been growing longer, and I am wondering if they need to be trimed. It is a wellsummer bantam if that makes any difference. If it does need to be trimmed, where is a good thread so I can find out how to do it? Thanks

Not at 3 weeks, certainly not. I never clip nails in my flock as they are outdoors for 12 hours a day and scratching around keeps everything in check. I'm not sure if other members do however.

I would say NO to trimming also...it's tempting tho, cause those little buggers are sharp aren't they?

Are they still in brooder?
Do they get outside time?

Maybe put a brick or concrete paver in with them.
You could, very, very, lightly, run an emery board over the ends to take off just to dull down the very tips.

Yes they are still in the brooder, and no they don't get outsied time because its too cold. I'll try putting in a brick. Thanks!
