I just got a Jersey Giant chick 5 days ago (Making her 6 days old as of today)...

Today I noticed that she has a crooked beak /scissor beak.
This is my first time owning this breed AND having crooked / scissor beak.

I've done some Googling / Youtubing on the matter and now I'm coming to my lovely chicken community <3
People on YouTube / Google have 2 different opinions:
1. Trim it
2. Don't trim because they're good companions for injured chickens since they can't peck/do damage to their wounds

Personally, I think it would be best to trim her beak, but I'm not sure if I should wait until she's a bit older.

This is where I need yalls help!
(You can choose more than 1 option from the poll) :)

I'm creating a poll in hopes that this awesome community can help me figure out what the best thing to do is :)

Thanks in advance

CLUCK A DOODLE DOO!

That's pretty bad for a young chick, it will likely get increasingly worse as the chick ages, regularly filing will be necessary as will deep feeders. I'm not sure if it's painful or not.
What do you mean by trimming?

Ikr, I feel so bad for her :(
I mean trimming by using a nail file to straighten it up (if you think that's wise)
