Blue bibbed juvenile call hen, the white on her cheek makes her look like a honker! Just the left side of her head, other side is solid. Hoefully it's a mutation and will breed true, that would be very cool.

duckmeister was saying that it wasen't intended, he was saying that it would be a cool project to maybe further this coloration.
Hmmmm....won't happen. Takes years to do what your wanting to do.
Well, actually it can if he dedicates his time to it, it can happen. How do you think butterscotch calls came to be, it was from decades of work. I for one thing it is an amazing project and wish you luck duckmeister.

It looks like rusting which is very common in blues.
This gal has a similar spot on her head.
There is a guy in Canada working with these types of genetics and is breeding for it
