Hi all!

I have 3 pekin bantam hens (Pidgeotto, Catkin and Splodge)

They travel with me to/from uni for holidays and, as such, made the 1 1/2 hour trip back to uni with me on Monday.

Pidge is currently broody, so is not laying but very vocally protects the nest box.

Soon after being let out in my garden, Catkin and Splodge went to lay, after finding two normal eggs I also found two, soft-shelled, yoke-less "things" that weren't more than 1.5cm in diameter.
I'm not sure if this is due to the stress of travelling or the fact they may have had their legs crossed during the journey!

Both have laid a normal egg since on Tuesday.

However, today Splodge laid a normal sized, soft-shelled egg (with a yoke).

Should I be worried something's up with her or could it just be unlucky coincidence that both happened close together?

They're all happy in themselves and are being just as vocal and greedy as usual!
